Heidi Fingerson, DVM
Dr. Heidi grew up in Boise, Idaho, and attended the University of Idaho. She went on to veterinary school at Washington State University. The first three years of her veterinary career were spent in Eastern Washington at a small-town veterinary clinic where she honed her emergency medicine and surgery skills. She then moved to Phoenix to spend the following three years in a fast-paced clinic in the greater Phoenix area. This time was well spent, as she grew in relationship building with clients and refined her surgery skills further. She is passionate about surgery, dentistry, and giving you and your beloved pets the best care possible. In her spare time, Dr. Heidi enjoys going on adventures with her husband, 2 poodles, and Weimaraner, serving the community, camping, fishing, and exploring whatever that day may bring. Dr. Heidi and her husband are expecting a baby soon and are due in May 2021.
Jordan Mogen, DVM (Dr. Jordy)
Dr. Jordy (Merrifield) Mogen is a local Phoenician who attended Arizona State University for her bachelor’s degree and later graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. She started her career providing high-quality hospice care for geriatric and terminally ill pets. She firmly believes that every animal deserves palliative care in their final days, as well as a peaceful passing. Dr. Jordy considers herself a forever student and especially loves honing her skills with dermatology, surgery, and dentistry. You will often hear her start a sentence with “I read in an article recently…”. She is proudly Fear Free certified, meaning that she has advanced training in ways to decrease fear, stress, and anxiety for dogs and cats during veterinary care visits. Dr.Jordy has four dogs of her own and in her time off she loves to travel with her husband, hike, ski, and practice yoga.
Sadie Wood, DVM
Dr. Sadie recently moved to Arizona from Mississippi. Being from the Southeast, she loves the daily mountain views and all of the wonderful characteristics that Arizona has to offer. She received her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Mississippi State University where she then went on to graduate from the Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine. She has worked in a busy small animal general practice where she was able to care for a wide variety of patients. She is passionate about the human-animal bond and behavior medicine. She also enjoys challenging dermatology cases and surgery. She is interested in training in acupuncture, and she continually wants to increase her knowledge base to be able to provide the best care for each of her patients. She understands that each patient is unique and deserves a medical plan that takes that into consideration. She is excited to meet and build strong relationships with each of you and your pets. She currently has three dogs, and she is ready to adopt a cat! In her free time, she enjoys running with her dog, hiking, kayaking, and reading an exciting novel.
Gina Lee Finney, DVM, MBA, CHPV
Dr. Gina was born and raised here in North Phoenix. She started working in the veterinary field in 1996. Dr. Gina pursued her veterinary education abroad attending both Ross University Veterinary School in Saint Kitts and Nevis and St. Matthew’s Veterinary School in the Cayman Islands. Dr. Gina spent her clinical rotations at Oklahoma State University Teaching Hospital in Stillwater, OK and graduated with her DVM in 2009 from St Matthew’s University. Three years later, Dr. Gina went on to earn her MBA in medical management. Dr. Gina has a passion for helping pet parents with geriatric pets or pets who have been diagnosed with incurable diseases as she is one of Arizona’s first veterinarians certified in veterinary hospice and palliative care (CHPV). When not practicing, Dr. Gina enjoys spending time with her husband, Gerry, her three young children, her three dogs, Franklin, Ceasar, and Bandit, her kitten, Jersey and her tortoise, E.T.
Courtney Steinhauer (Campbell), DVM
Dr. Courtney is an ocean lover and avid flip-flop wearer originally from California. She completed her undergraduate at the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Courtney then graduated from Colorado State University with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. She enjoyed all four seasons while sporting her flip-flops, spending any free time she could outside hiking (especially conquering 14ers!), camping and exploring the beautiful scenery. Dr. Courtney’s passion is to help owners provide their furry family members with the best care possible from kitten/puppyhood through seniority. While not practicing medicine, she loves spending time with her husband and their two young children.
Raeann Gross, Veterinary Technician, Practice Manager
Raeann was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ! She knew from a young age, that animals were her passion! In her sophomore year of high school, her family found a little Pit Bull puppy that ended up coming down with parvovirus. She found her calling when the veterinary staff was able to successfully treat and save her little Lily-Pit. Raeann graduated from Kaplan College with her Associates in Occupational Studies in November of 2011 and has been loving working in the field since then! In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family; 3 dogs (Chase, Eleanor, and Jazzy), 3 cats (Ace, Jackson, and Cedric), 3 ball pythons (Oliver, Holly, and Cupid), her boyfriend, Skyler, and her toddler, Tatum! She also enjoys all things Harry Potter and Minnesota Vikings! SKOL!
Gina Ramirez, CVT – Office Coordinator
Gina grew up in the Monterey Bay area of California. She has always loved the animal world. Gina graduated from the California State University of Fresno with a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Veterinary Animal Science. She has been actively working in the veterinary field since 1998 and has volunteered at the Monterey Bay Aquarium preparing meals for all the different animal exhibits. Gina moved to Arizona in 2008 and became a CVT in 2013. She has had 18 years of experience, not only as a pet care provider but as a client relationship specialist. She believes that pet parents are just as important as the fur kids. When not working she enjoys gardening, running, cooking, and spending time with her siblings and extended fur family.
Alley Cook, Lead Technician, Surgery Coordinator
Alley Cook has been in the veterinary field for 9 years. She enjoys working with all types of animals but enjoys working with large dogs and cats the most. Alley graduated from Anthem College in 2011 with an Associates in veterinary technology. Alley is from Farmington, New Mexico, and has lived in the valley for the past 10 years. Alley has 2 furry pets of her own, Penny a 1yr Old English sheepdog and Squeaky, a 6yrs old grey kitty. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her 3 human babies and her husband.
Margaret (Marge) McLeod, CVT, Behavioral Expert
Marge is a native of Arizona. She was born and raised in Prescott, Arizona.
She received her BS in Zoology from Northern Arizona University. She moved to Phoenix and worked as a technician at a small animal and exotic animal hospital for 16 years. While there she received her Certified Veterinary Technician License.
She was an instructor in the Veterinary Technology Program at Kaplan College for 7 years. She is currently working with clients doing in-home medical treatments for their pets, dog obedience, behavioral modification, and puppy training. She is also a field trainer in Arizona for a service dog organization. She teaches clients that receive a service dog how to utilize the dog.
Sydney Forstner, Veterinary Technician
Sydney was born in Port Huron, Michigan, and moved to Arizona in 2013. She graduated from Pima Medical Institute with my Veterinary Assistant Certification in November 2016. Sydney has been in the veterinary field for 3 1/2 years and absolutely loves it! In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her 2 chihuahuas Nugget and Luna, and my 5-month-old kitten Pumpkin. She also enjoys spending time with her parents, going up north camping, or anything outdoors.
Erin Logan, CVT
I was born just outside Chicago and moved to Arizona this past summer. In 2017 I received my bachelor’s degree in Theatre and a certificate in Journalism from Indiana University. After graduation, I went back to school for veterinary technology and recently received my CVT license. I am passionate about providing compassionate care to both animals and their humans. In my spare time, I love hiking, baking, and relaxing on the couch with my mischievous cat named Hunny, and my sweet pitbull/lab mix, Archie.
